Before playing DVD's see Installing Restricted Formats.

Totem Movie Player will start automatically when you insert a DVD. It's that simple. You can also start Totem Movie Player by going to Applications > Sound & Video > Movie Player.

Playing Video from the Internet

Most video on the Internet is in Windows Media or Realplayer media formats. See Installing Restricted Formats for adding this capability to your machine.
