Sound Juicer

Introduction

Sound Juicer rips music from a CD and saves it in your desired format on your hard drive. We recommend using open music formats such as OGG whenever possible. Sound Juicer is configured to rip CD's into OGG format by default. Follow these directions if you want to rip your music into MP3 format.

• Open Sound Juicer - Applications > Sound and Video > Sound Juicer CD Extractor
• Click Edit > Preferences
• Under Format click Edit Profiles
• Click New
• Name the profile CD Quality, MP3
• Click Create
• Choose the new profile and click Edit
• Copy and paste the following line into GStreamer Pipeline:

audio/x-raw-int,rate=44100,channels=2 ! lame name=enc

• For File Extension: enter mp3
• Tick the Active checkbox
• Click OK
• Close and Restart Sound Juicer
• Click Edit > Preferences
• Change the Output Format: to CD Quality, MP3 (MP3 audio)
